The State University College at Oswego Small Business Development Center is holding a free workshop on social networking and crowdfunding Sept. 5 in Sheldon Hall on campus.
Keynote speakers are Krista Neher and Martin Butts.
Neher is a highly rated speaker on social media, Internet marketing, marketing strategy, entrepreneurship and personal branding online.
She is the bestselling author of three books (including one textbook) on social media marketing, an international speaker and the chief executive officer of Boot Camp Digital.
She has helped many companies, including General Electric, Google, Macy’s, General Mills and Remax. She has also been a featured expert on CNN, NBC, CBS, The New York Times, Fox News, The Associated Press and NPR.
Butts is founder of Small Potatoes, a boutique consulting firm that specializes in working with small scale and start-up food producers. He funded his business using crowdfunding.
