Primaries set in Fulton, Hannibal, Granby, Schroeppel

Editor’s note:

There were two mistakes in the story “Primaries set in Fulton, Hannibal, Granby, Schroeppel,” published on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The City of Fulton primary for councilor, Ward 4, Independence, should have listed James R. Myers and Ralph Stacy Jr.

There will be no primary for the race of legislator, District 12, Hastings, Independence.

The Valley News regrets these errors.

This year’s primary election is set for noon to 9 p.m Sept. 10.

  1. Why is it that I am not listed as being part of the primary for 4th Ward Councilor in the City of Fulton for the Independence Party? As the only member of the Independence Party to turn in petitions for said line, and having received written notification AND verbal confirmation from Board of Elections on my nomination, I find it odd that I am left out of the listing and the two Republican candidates who are apparently primarying against me for my party’s line are listed.
