County seeks to fill 2 job openings

The Oswego County Department of Personnel is accepting applications until Aug. 28 for personnel assistant in the Phoenix school district.

A Civil Service examination is set for Oct. 5. Salary range is $35,000 to $40,800 per year. Qualifications are completion of 60 college credit hours or a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma with two years of clerical experience. Candidates must be residents of the Phoenix school district for four months prior to the examination.

Applications also are being accepted for motor vehicle clerk, with a Civil Service examination set for Oct. 5. Pay is $12.77 per hour. Qualifications are 30 college or business school credit hours or a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma and one year of clerical experience. Applicants also will be considered who have two years of clerical experience. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and residents of Oswego County for four months prior to the examination.
