Leslie Corey, 81, of Phoenix, died Sunday, June 9, 2013.
He was born in Fulton to Ernest and Editha (Loomis) Corey and was the youngest of eight children.
He was a licensed minister and pastored the Gilbert Mills Church for many years.
He retired from the Carpenters Union Local 12. He was a long-standing member of the Grace Assembly of God Church in Syracuse.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth O’Neill Corey; his children, Annette (William) Procanick of Clinton, N.Y., Sharon (Erik) Flichtbeil of Saratoga Springs, Stephen (Cathy) Corey of Syracuse, and Noreen Corey of Equatorial Guinea, Africa; seven grandchildren, Elissa, Kristin, and Michelle Procanick, Erika (George) Flichtbeil-Young, and Rachel Flichtbeil, Jesse and Jai Corey; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jeremiah Young; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix. Burial will follow the service in Pennellville Cemetery, County Route 54, Pennellville.
