John David Halstead Jr., 44, of Fulton, died June 11, 2013 as a result of a construction accident in the Town of Oswego.
He had worked at U.P.S. Freight in East Syracuse for 17 years. He was an avid race car driver and auto mechanic and enjoyed auto racing, hunting and fishing. His greatest joy in life was his children.
Surviving are his children, Hannah and John David Halstead III; his father and stepmother, David (Joann) Halstead; mother and stepfather, Beverly (Don) Wilcox; siblings, Heather (Ronald) Strickler, Lorrie Anderson, John (Jeannine) Merriam, Denise (Michael) Heagerty, Karen (Ron) Ford and Donald Wilcox Jr.; paternal grandparents, John (Gertrude) Halstead; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 16 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with services 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery in Hannibal.
