The Fulton varsity baseball team won its first game of the season when it took on Hannibal Friday.
The Red Raiders win came following recent losses to Christian Brothers Academy, Homer and Bishop Ludden.
April 29, Christian Brothers Academy staged a late game rally to top Fulton while an impressive fourth inning helped Homer cruise past the Red Raiders April 30.
A six-run fifth inning proved to be key in Bishop Ludden’s May 2nd win over Fulton.
The Red Raiders let one get away from them when they took on Christian Brothers Academy. After falling behind 2-0 during the first inning, Fulton scored five runs during the second, third and fourth innings to take a 5-2 lead.
Christian Brothers Academy took over from there. CBA scored five unanswered runs during the fifth and sixth innings to escape with a 7-5 win over Fulton.
Leading the way for the Red Raiders was Peter Ravesi, who had three hits and an RBI, including a home run.
Jeremy Langdon and Cody Green both had two hits and an RBI and Michael Bolster and Chris Jones both chipped in a hit and an RBI. Jon Cummins and Daniel Coant also had hits for Fulton.
On the mound, Peter Ravesi allowed seven runs on 10 hits in seven innings of work.
The Red Raiders struggles continued when they took on Homer. By the end of the third inning, Homer had jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
