What’s Happening at CNY Arts Center?

Flower pot cookies, oil painting, photography, young writers and life drawing techniques are all on tap for the busy weekend ahead with a full day of classes Saturday, April 20.

Spring Treats will teach how to make flower pot cookies and more. Acrylics, oil painting, and life drawing all present classes for any skill level running throughout the day.

Two more writing programs debut with a writer’s workshop titled How Digital Photography Can Help Writers Reach Readers and an afternoon for young writers age 8 to 15 with Write Away! Registration for classes is open until 6 p.m. the day before a class starts. Students are asked to pre-register for all classes and workshops to avoid missing out. Classes and workshops charge a modest fee.

The third annual Arts Fest to be held June 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the War Memorial Ice Rink is filling with artists and Crafters.

Tom Eagan and Christine Tupe will both perform onstage following the third annual Talent Competition.

This event offers handmade original art and crafts and promotes the performing arts with a talent competition featuring prizes in several categories. Talent and vendors can register online at www.CNYArtsCenter.com.

The second annual ARTY Day Camp registrations are available with full details on the web site. This summer camp for ages 5-15 will offer instruction in art, writing, dance and theater, lunch provided with group art projects.

Lunch and afternoon art projects are free and open to every child in the community age 5 and up during the weeks of camp, July 15-19 and Aug 19-23.

Sponsorships are available for morning classes. CNY Arts Center wants every child to have an art experience this summer.

Classes, live theatre, festivals, Arty Camp, and an art gallery opening soon delivers all arts for all ages and interests at CNY Arts Center.

CNY Arts Center is located in the lower level of State St. Methodist Church, 357 State St, Fulton.

“ARTs in the HeART” Art Gallery will be located at 47 S. First St. in Fulton. Artists can apply for gallery space online.
