She was born Nov. 22, 1926 to her late parents, Gladys (Townsend) and Harry Williams in Phoenix.
She was a homemaker and was employed by Phoenix Central Schools for many years. She enjoyed going to the casinos, and played Bunco with her friends. She was an avid bowler, too.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Doreen Gardner; her son-in-law, Dana P. Gardner; her granddaughter, Donja L. Gardner in 1980; and her sisters and brothers.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Neil A. DeVita, Sr.; her son and his companion, Neil A. DeVita, Jr. and Karen Rupe of Fulton; two grandchildren, Angela DeVita and Nathaniel DeVita; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There are no calling hours or funeral service. She was buried in Chase Cemetery, Lysander.
