Richard Moreton, father of Hannibal resident

Richard E. “Tex” Moreton, 73, of Wolcott, died peacefully at home March 11, 2013 with his wife and family at his side.

He was a 30-year employee at Xerox in Webster. He was a member of the Elks and the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working outdoors, and his dog Dizzie.

He was predeceased by his father, Emery, and by his brother, George.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan Moreton; his mother, Hester Moreton; sons, Richard (Marcia), Randy (Stacy) and Rodney; daughter, Renee (Harvey) Downs; eight grandchildren; and sister, Joan (James) Sterling.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are in care of Norton Funeral Home of Wolcott.
