He was born in New Haven, a son to the late Kenneth and Gladys Lawton Bracy. He attended Mexico Academy and enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He retired in 1991 from the Local 73, Oswego, where he was a pipefitter for several years.
He was a member of the Fulton Elks Lodge #830 and was a past Elk of the Year in 1981. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his morning coffee at the Foursome Diner with his buddies.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Flora Wilson, and two brothers, Charles and Donald Bracy.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marcia Quade Bracy; five children, Richard (Cathy) Bracy of Fulton, Robert (Sue) Bracy of Cicero, Randy (Katy) Bracy of Palmyra, Cyndie (Mike) Tolone of the Bronx and Doug (Mary) Quade of Redfield; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews.
