He resided in Fulton most all of his life. In 2005, he moved to Texas where he was a commercial and residential painter. He attended G. Ray Bodley High School. He was an avid bowler and had a perfect 300 game. He enjoyed playing pool, watching NASCAR and was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Edward and Marion Gillette, Forbie Gorman and Margaret Scott.
Surviving are his parents, Alice and Charles “Bummer” Gillette of Fulton; daughter, Emily Gillette Driggers and son-in-law Sean of Texas; wife, Charmin and children, Parker (Brittany) Hoskins, Dokota Hoskins and Cassie (Aaron) Merkle and their grandchildren: Shailie, Cameron and Ella Rose, all of Texas.
Funeral services were officiated by his uncle, the Rev. William Ormsby at Dove Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 4 p.m. at Fulton Christian Fellowship, 206 State St., Fulton.
