She was a 1939 Phoenix High School graduate. She was a former employee of NY Ordinance Works-gun and acid factories, Lysander, during World War II; Baldwinsville Sanitarium; Zahn Manor; Michaud Nursing Home, Fulton; and was a private duty home health aide, retiring at age 82.
She was a trustee for VFW Post 5540 Auxiliary Phoenix; an executor for American Legion Post 113, Baldwinsville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Manford G. Hart, in 1982; three sons, Brian in 1957 and Larry and Gordon, both in 2003; a grandson, John Sochia Jr.; and a great-grandson, Richard Hart.
Surviving are her eight children, and their spouses, Patricia, Bonnie, Jean, Rose (Rod) Dunn,
Sheila, Bruce (Linda) Hart, Karen (John) Sochia, and Kevin Hart; 36 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and brother-in-law, Ken (Mary) Hart.
Calling hours were held Sunday, March 10 with Deacon Frank Forish at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix.
Spring burial will be in Chase Cemetery, Lysander.
