She lived all her life in the Fulton and Oswego area. She worked as a custodian for Oswego County for 26 years. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a volunteer with Catholic Charities.
She was also a volunteer with the Oswego County Board of Elections.
She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Bateman, who died in 1976, and her mother, Viola Bateman, who died in 2010.
She is survived by five children, Thomas (Debbie Pulsifer) Wallace of Hannibal, Brenda Wallace of Fulton, Mark (Amy) Wallace of Indiana, Brent (Tracie) Denny and Shane (Lisa Alvarado) Denny of Fulton; four sisters, Marlene Woodmancy, Faye Wallace, Gail Jodway and Leah Wheeler, all of Fulton; three brothers, Maurice Bateman of Cicero, Paul (Isabel) Bateman of Fulton and Howard Bateman of Oswego; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of South Third and Rochester streets, Fulton.
Calling hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
