Rodney Hardesty, Nestle mechanic

Rodney L. Hardesty, 75 of Granby, died peacefully at home Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013.

A native of Conesville, Ohio, he had resided in the Granby and Fulton areas since 1975. He retired from Nestle, Fulton in 2000 after 24 years as a mechanic.

He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years from 1955 to 1975. He was a member of the Oswego Valley Snowbelters Barbershop Chorus for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Sandra Hardesty of Granby; two sons, Michael (Diana) Hardesty of Oswego and David Hardesty of Auburn; two grandchildren, Alexa and Mikayla of Oswego; his grand-dog, Sammy; two brothers, Bradley Hardesty of Florida and Edmond Hardesty of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal with services immediately following.
