February finishes out the month with an Artist Spotlight tonight, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. featuring the work of Ken Blount, CNY Arts Center’s studio arts coordinator.
Blount’s artistry finds the beauty in ordinary items when gathered on canvas in non-traditional ways – the inner workings of a VHS tape become a tree, the gears of a toy become a 3D scene depicting a space ship, the unseen parts of an old piano create a wall-hanging with sophistication and beauty. His art is unique and his technique is in the spotlight this month, open to the public at no charge, at 7 p.m. Find more information on our web site.
