Adelaide Pierce, retired from Sealright

OBITS-PierceAdelaideaAdelaide I. Pierce, 100, formerly of Hannibal, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at Michaud Residential Health Services in Fulton.

A native of Granby, Mrs. Pierce had resided in Hannibal most of her life. She retired in 1977 after 33 years with Sealright Company, Fulton.

She was predeceased by her husband, John M. Pierce, who died in 1971, and by her daughter, Beverly J. Haven.

Surviving are five sons, John M. Pierce, Jr. of Parish, Clarence M. Pierce of Syracuse, William F. Pierce of Fulton, Richard E. Pierce of Hannibal, and Bruce W. Pierce of Martville; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchildren; six great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal.

Contributions may be made to the First United Church of Fulton, 33 So. Third St., Fulton, 13069.

Foster Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
