Thomas Ray Kemp, 66, of Goldsboro, N.C. and formerly of Fulton, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at his residence.
Born in Fulton, he was the son of the late LeRoy Bradford and Ellen Elizabeth Hughes Kemp and was the husband of Suzanne “Sue” Kemp.
Having retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a nurse, he had also served his country in the United States Marine Corps and had worked 18 years as a counselor with “The ARC” of New York.
He served with the Boy Scouts of America as an adult leader and counselor for over 50 years. He also served as a deacon at Faith Alliance Church.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 15 at Faith Alliance Church, 3203 Cashwell Dr., Goldsboro at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ed Shuck and Pastor Tim Leever officiating.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gerry and Natalie Kemp of Goldsboro; daughter, Tina Kemp and Michelle Bussell of Charlotte; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tony Mastrolonardo of Goldsboro; two brothers, Roy Lewis Kemp of Oswego and William Michael Kemp of Fulton; and six grandchildren.
