David G. Kio, 59, of Osceola, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Rome Memorial Hospital.
Born in Auburn, he was a 20-year resident of Osceola. He previously lived in the Oswego area.
He was a member of Local 545 in Syracuse for the past 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a member of Osceola Rod and Gun Club, the National Rifle Association and was a member of Osceola Town Board. He had received his U.S. Coast Guard Captains License.
He was predeceased by his; parents, George and Margaret Kio; uncles, Jack Kio, who died in 2012, and Howard Kio who died in 2001; and other uncles and aunts.
Surviving are a brother, Chip (Karen) Kio; nephew, Paul Kio; niece, Nicole Kio, all of Oswego. Calling hours and services were held Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Spring burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
