Fulton girls topple Fowler

The Fulton girls varsity basketball team went 1-1 in last week’s games against East Syracuse-Minoa and Fowler.

Fulton led by eight points at halftime of its Jan. 17 game against East Syracuse-Minoa. Unfortunately for The Lady Raiders, East Syracuse-Minoa got it done during the second half, outscoring Fulton 34-23 during the third and fourth quarters to come away with the win.

The Lady Raiders responded dominantly against Fowler. Fulton cruised to a double-digit win over Fowler Jan. 23.

The Lady Raiders got off to a solid start when they took on East Syracuse-Minoa. By the end of the first quarter, Fulton had a seven-point lead. The Lady Raiders added to their lead during the second quarter, outscoring East Syracuse-Minoa by a point to take a 28-20 halftime lead.

East Syracuse-Minoa stormed ahead during the second half. They outscored the Lady Raiders by seven points during the third quarter to bring their lead down to a one point. East Syracuse-Minoa completed its comeback during the fourth quarter. They outscored Fulton by four points to escape with a 54-51 win.
