Kathleen Wixson, Born in Fulton

OBITS-WixsonKathleen_WKathleen D. “Kay” Casey Wixson, 73, of North Syracuse, died Monday, De. 31, 2012 at Crouse Hospital.

She was born in Fulton to the late Edward J. and Victoria Lambert Casey. She was looking forward to retiring from Fergerson Funeral Home and enjoying her family. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a Bishop Curley Council Columbiette, and active for decades in many parish programs.

She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Archie Sr. in 2006, and her son, Christopher in 2010.

Surviving are her sons, Archie E. (JoAnn) Wixson, Jr. of Baldwinsville, Stephen M. Wixson of North Syracuse and Mark C. (Melissa McGraw) Wixson of Clay; her brother, Dennis (Ann) Casey of Fulton; her sisters, Sharon (Bob) Klein of Chicago, Colleen (Bob) Silverman of Albany and Carol (John “Fitz”) Fitzgerald of Syracuse; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Jordan, Bradley, Noah, Danielle (Jason) Wild, Meaghen, Brittany, Joelle Fiorini and Kayla Delia; great-grandchildren, Everett Hicks and Luca and Santino Ciricillo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Church with burial following in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours were held Friday at Gates Funeral Home, Baldwinsville.
