The Fulton varsity hockey team will be led by a different coaching staff this season. New coach Todd Terpening will be joined by Jason Heindorf for what they consider to be a rebuilding season of sorts. The goals the team has for the season are simple. Players want to go about the season one game at a time while working hard to come together as a cohesive unit.
How hard the team works will dictate how much success it will have on the ice this season, said Terpening.
According to Terpening, the Red Raiders will feature a younger team this season. Fulton lost seven players to graduation from last year’s team and will feature only two returning seniors.
Terpening pointed out that the team won’t have as many players as it did last season, which means every player will have to be in physical condition.
However, like anything else associated with this team, the players are expected to work hard to be in the best shape possible. Looking ahead to the schedule that awaits the Red Raiders, they will face the challenge of taking on some of the great teams that are in their division.
