Josephine “Josie” Niegos, 95, of Fulton, died Oct. 17, 2012.
She was born in Fulton to the late Frank and Irene (Ciula) Safader and remained as a life resident. She retired from General Electric after 25 years of service and had previously worked at the American Woolen Mill in Fulton.
She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Fulton where she a past president of the St. Michael’s Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Fulton Polish Home Ladies Auxiliary where she was a past president.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Niegos, who died in 1995; and sisters, Sophie Sinicki and Mary Shand, who died in 2007.
Surviving are children, Elaine (Bill) Conners, Geraldine Gilliland and Richard (Ofelia) Niegos, all of Fulton; and grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A calling hour and a Mass of Christian Burial were held Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fulton. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit www.fosterfuneralhome.com.
