Donnie P. to perform at Fulton Polish Fest

Donnie P. and the Celebration Polka Band from Waterford, N.Y. will be on stage at the Fulton Polish Fest Saturday, Sept. 22 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Fulton Polish Home

The band, under the leadership of Donnie Poteralski, has been performing throughout the Northeast for over 30 years.

Poteralski and his grade school friend, Marty Byster, started the band and have been together ever since.

Inspired by the great “Happy Louie,” the Celebration Band plays many of his songs.  Their lively Polka music also includes many other traditional and original Polish songs.

The band has recorded albums and most recently a new CD in 2010.

Other band members include Steve Semerad and Gregg Russo, who have been Celebration members for several years.

Fulton Polish Fest will begin at noon Sept. 22 at the Fulton Polish Home, 153 W. First St., Fulton.

It will also feature Jasiu Klocek and his Accordion from noon to 2 p.m. and plenty of Polish (Golabki, Kapusta, Pierogi, Kielbasa) and American foods.

Those seeking more information may call the Fulton Polish Home at 593-2875 or John Kruk at 297-4511.
