Bodley Bulletins: September 12, 2012

by Kate Rothrock

I hope everyone’s first week of school went well!

Students are quickly getting back into the hang of things and getting used to being back in school.

They are also adjusting to the new bell schedule. School starts at 7:29 a.m. now, and instead of going to homeroom like last year they report to their first bell class.

In between bells 3 and 4 is a 22-minute guided study hall where students can work on homework or get help from teachers.

Students also must stay in school a little longer than last year, with the school day ending at 2:22 p.m.

A new policy at G. Ray Bodley is that all students must wear an ID lanyard or have it visible at all times during school hours.

This policy is a safety precaution that is being taken for security reasons and in case there is ever an emergency.

The lanyards have their perks, being that if you wear your lanyard there is an acknowledgement system with mystery mission cards and school wide celebrations.

Picture Day is Sept. 12 and 13th, and once student IDs are in, they will be placed in each student’s lanyard.

Seniors, don’t forget to get your senior parking permits! Pick up a form in the office because there is a limited amount of spaces available.

It is a first come, first serve basis and issued for a 10-week period. Your parking permit is only renewed if you are in good standing!
