Bette Turner, former Phoenix resident

Bette Elizabeth Turner, 90, a former Phoenix resident, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville.

She was born in Syracuse to her late parents, Eva (Patnod) and

Raymond Alley, July 14, 1922. She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School. She was later employed by Carrier Corp., and General Electric Co.. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the North Central Assembly of God Church, North Syracuse.

Her husband of 64 years, Donald H. Turner, died Sept. 7, 2011.

She is survived by her children,

Lynda Joy (Bill) Bush of Hastings, Earl R. (Barbara) Turner of East Syracuse, and Holly Jean (David) Parkhurst of Kansas City, Mo.; her sister, Doris Mahney of Madison, Wisc.; her sister-in-law, Betty T. Ruetsch of Fulton; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours were held Wednesday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix. Services will be held today, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, 431 Main St., with Pastor Eric Hamlin officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
