What a week this has been! Not to mention all that it has left to offer!
Monday started with what people have been waiting for all year — yearbooks! This year’s is as good as ever; great job yearbook staff!
As Monday continued on, students happily looked forward to the annual Bodley Bash. The annual end-of-the-year fling consisted of a kickball tournament, relay races, side walk decorating, 25 cent hot dogs and much, much more!
Monday concluded with the annual awards night. Congratulations to the huge amount of students that received awards!
Tuesday followed suit in awards as the Senior Sports Awards banquet ensued. Like last year, the banquet was held at the Oasis at Thunder Island and a delicious dinner was served. Congratulations and good luck to all of the senior athletes!
Today after school (one of my all-time favorite days of the year) was Battle of the Athletes! One hundred student-athletes on 10 teams brawled for the first place title. This friendly competition is always a great way to end the year.
Tomorrow night is the High Honor Graduate Banquet. This is yet another way to recognize those students that have worked hard throughout their high school careers. Great food by the Blue Moon Grill will be served and the seniors will be recognized one last time before graduation.
Rounding out an amazing week is Senior Day this Friday. This day is for seniors to relax and enjoy one of their last days of high school. The seniors are also let out early to start getting prepared for senior dinner dance.
This year’s dinner dance is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the River Vista, here in Fulton. It is sure to be a fun evening and an amazing last dance for the seniors.
Any juniors invited to the dinner dance, make sure to get a good night’s sleep! The ACT that is being administered at the high school is this Saturday at 8 a.m.! Don’t forget your pencils, calculators and breakfast!
Next Monday marks the last day of classes for the 2011-2012 school year! I hope everyone’s ready for their tests!
Block testing is next Tuesday and Wednesday marks the beginning of Regents.
Sadly next Wednesday will also be my last article, thank you to anyone that has followed me thus far, I promise not to disappoint on the last one!
