Craig Blanding, retired from Air Force

Sr. Master Sergeant Craig Lamb Blanding USAF (Ret.), 54, formerly of Fulton, died April 11, 2007 in Japan.

Lamb was born April 15, 1952 in Fulton and was the son of Ronald and Cora Blanding. He graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1970. Sr. Master Sergeant Blanding retired from the U.S. Air Force where he received several awards during his 30 year career as an engineer.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pin Blanding; his father, Ronald Blanding; and by an infant sister, Mona Meg Blanding.

He is survived by his mother, Cora Miller of Altmar; sister, Kim (Michael) Landers of Liberty, Tenn; a niece, Amy Landers of Tennessee; a nephew, Kyle Landers, who is in the U.S. Navy; and several aunts and uncles.

Graveside services, with military honors, were held May 24 at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. The Rev. Mark Kimpland officiated. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.

  1. Cora and Kim, I just read about Craig in the paper. I am so sorry. I wish I could have attended the service. He was such a great friend.
