The Fulton Memorial Day Salute will include events and entertainment geared toward children.
Throughout the day Saturday, May 26, Hayley Starr will be offering face painting and making balloon animals for the children.
Starr has been twisting balloons for about 20 years, learning when she was just 11 years old. She appears weekly during the summer at the Oswego Farmer’s Market.
At 2 p.m., the Magic of Virgil will begin.
“A fusion of music, choreography and theatrics will leave you breathless,” a spokesperson said. “Virgil has developed a dazzling, larger than life show, blending the most engaging aspects of audience participation with the spectacle and high drama of stage illusions. The Magic of Virgil is a culmination of a life-long hunger for mastery of the mystic arts.
“As a child, Virgil astonished his family and friends with magic tricks,” the spokesperson added. “By the age of 15, he knew that entertaining would be his life’s passion.
Now, as a seasoned professional, Virgil has developed a spectacular show that will keep the audience buzzing long after the show ends.”
Fulton’s annual Memorial Day Salute is sponsored by the service clubs of Fulton: Rotary, Sunrise Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions along with the Veterans Council. All entertainment is offered free to the public.
