The Fulton boys varsity lacrosse team trailed Cortland by three goals going into the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s game.
Despite trailing most of the game, Fulton rallied to cut Cortland’s lead down to one. Time ran out on the Raiders, however, as Cortland escaped with an 8-7 win.
Cortland jumped out to a quick lead. By the end of the first quarter, it had a 4-1 lead over Fulton.
Cortland’s solid all-around play continued during the second quarter. Cortland outscored Fulton by a goal to take a 6-2 lead into halftime.
Fulton proved to be more effective during the second half.
