Fulton softball team records 9-0 shutout

The Fulton varsity softball team got off a quick start against Syracuse West Friday.

The Lady Raiders scored four runs during the game’s first two innings en route to a 9-0 shutout of Syracuse West.

Fulton took a 1-0 lead during the bottom of the first inning. Following another scoreless at bat for Syracuse West, the Lady Raiders added three more runs during the bottom of the second inning. They added another run during the bottom of the fourth inning, which brought the score to 5-0.

Fulton scored three more runs during the bottom of the sixth inning to cap off the nine-run win.

Fulton was led by Kassidy Kearns, who had two hits and an RBI against Syracuse West.

Lindsey Larkin and Ciarra Chapman ho each tallied a hit and an RBI while Ashley Smart and Lauren Snyder had hits for Fulton.

Larkin earned the win for the Lady Raiders on the mound. She struck out nine batters while giving up only three hits.
