The Oswego County Conservative Party Committee will hold its annual spring dinner May 3 at the Lakeview Manor, 723 N.Y.S. Rte. 3, Fulton.
The dinner will be at 7 p.m. with a cash bar from 6 to 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Wendy Long, a candidate for United States Senate.
Long has been a New Yorker for 14 years. Raised in New Hampshire, she attended public schools and graduated from Dartmouth College. She went to Washington, D.C. during the Reagan years to work in the United States Senate for U.S. Sen. Gordon Humphrey and then U.S. Sen. Bill Armstrong.
She attended Northwestern University School of Law and Harvard Law School, receiving her J.D. from Northwestern, where she was an editor of the law review.
She served as a law clerk to Judge Ralph K. Winter of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York, and then to Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States.
