Quick start leads Cortland past Fulton baseball 15-8

by Rob Tetro

The Cortland baseball team scored all 15 of its runs during the game’s first four innings in its contest against Fulton Friday.

Fulton rallied at the end, but lost 15-8.

Cortland scored early and often, which essentially put the game out of reach before the start of the third inning. By the end of the fourth inning, Cortland had a 15-0 lead over Fulton.

The Red Raiders battled until the last pitch was thrown. They scored five runs during the top of the fifth inning to cut the lead down to 10 runs at 15-5. They scored three more runs during the top of the sixth inning to make the score 15-8.
