The Fulton Speedway began the 2012 season Saturday night. Steve Poirier of Quebec bested a field of 42 of the best 360 Sprint car drivers in the Northeast in round one of the Patriot Sprint Tour.
Tim Sears Jr. grabbed the checkers in both the NAPA Late Models and SUNY Canton Sportsman.
Sears grabbed the lead early on in the 15 lap NAPA Late Model feature and cruised to the easy win. Sean Beardsley, Alan Fink, Brandon Kidd and Mike Trapp chased Sears across the line.
In the 20 lap SUNY Canton Sportsman feature Jordan Bennett and Sears would battle for the top-spot early on with Sears making a power move around Bennett exiting turn for to be scored the new leader on lap-six.
