Strong fourth quarter defense leads Fulton boys lacrosse past Central Square

The Fulton boys varsity lacrosse team scored only one goal during the fourth quarter of its April 12th contest against Central Square. As it turned out, Fulton’s goal helped the Red Raiders to escape with a 5-4 win.

The game began much like it ended with Fulton keeping Central Square off the scoreboard.

At the end of the first quarter, Fulton had a 2-0 lead. Fulton took a 4-2 lead into halftime after both teams scored twice during the second quarter.

During the third quarter, Central Square rallied. While scoring two goals of their own, they also kept Fulton off the scoreboard. Following Central Square’s rally, the game went into the fourth and final quarter of play evened up at 4-4.

Fulton scored during the fourth quarter to take a 5-4 lead. In the game’s final minutes, the Raiders were once again able to keep Central Square off the scoreboard, which helped them to escape with the one-goal win.
