Arrests made in Sunday’s armed robbery in Schroeppel

Oswego County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 19-year-old Phoenix resident and a 16-year-old Fulton resident in connection with Sunday’s armed robbery of a Schroeppel gasoline station.

Early Sunday morning, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery complaint at the FasTrac gas station, located at 234 N.Y.S. Rte. 264 in the Town of Schroeppel.

As a result of the investigation, Shawn M. Guppy, 19, of 8 Lock St., Phoenix, and Raymond M. Luis, Jr., 16, of 60 N. 7th St., Fulton, were arrested on multiple charges.

Guppy and Luis reportedly conspired to rob the convenience store and used a knife in a threatening manner during the incident, which occurred at approximately 2:43 a.m.
