Light In The Darkness: April 11, 2012

by Pastor David Grey

“I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands and they were shouting with a mighty shout,  “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” — Revelation 7:9-10

It is a joyous crowd and an amazing display of the mercy and grace of God…a wonderfully astounding sight like nothing else in the history of the world.

It is a sight that will cause, “all the angels to fall before the throne with their faces to the ground, worshipping God and singing, ‘Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor  and power and strength belong to our God  forever and ever! Amen’.”

This is the redeemed made pure by the blood of the Lamb.

John Wesley said of this scene in heaven, “these are a multitude as no man can number, and as all the angels of heaven appear here, so do all the  souls of all the righteous who had lived from the beginning of the world…all who have washed their robes And made them white in all holiness.”
