A 33-year-old Oswego resident was arrested last week for allegedly committing a string of crimes throughout the month of March, members of the Oswego City Police Department said.

Bruce H. Macmillan, of 269 West Third Street, Oswego, was arrested on several felony charges.

At approximately 2:10 p.m. March 7, Oswego police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Kinney Drugs, located at 174 W. Bridge Street, Oswego. Upon arrival store employees informed police that an unknown suspect had stolen an LED television and an Arizona Iced Tea from the store.

The suspect had fled the scene, but police were able to obtain video surveillance footage of the suspect from the store.

Upon reviewing still pictures taken from the video, a patrol officer recognized the suspect from prior police contact, and identified him as Macmillan.

Police were unable to locate Macmillan at that time. The aggregate value of stolen property was approximately $140.
