‘Good Neighbor Mission & Work Day’ set for April 28

The Lake Effect Cooperative Ministries will hold its second annual “Good Neighbor Mission & Work Day” Saturday, April 28.

The group will be focusing on assisting individuals or families with projects they would be otherwise unable to do themselves.

Some eligible projects include cleaning out a room, setting up outdoor furniture, painting a room, lawn work, garden prep, trimming bushes or other projects as needed.

Projects should be something that can be completed in three hours. Seniors and those with disabilities are encouraged to complete an application for assistance.

The communities of focus for this year will be the Mexico and Fulton area. Anyone wishing assistance is asked to call Pastor Tammie at 591-0487 or Pat Dennison at 343-4149 to request an application.

Applications must be postmarked by April 9.

Applications should be sent to: Lake Effect Cooperative Ministry, C/O Palermo UM Church, 11 County Route 35, Fulton, NY 13069.

Applications will be reviewed and participants contacted prior to April 28.

The group is also inviting all area clubs and organizations, as well as other churches to come and work alongside them.
