Fulton couple married in Liverpool

Justine Mae Vehrs and Carl Richard Nylen, both of Fulton, were joined in marriage Friday, July 15, 2011.

The Rev. Doctor Russell Hall officiated the double-ring ceremony at Liverpool First United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Renae Vehrs of Fulton and William Vehrs, of Midlothian, Va. She was given in marriage by her father and her mother.

The groom is the son of Barbara Nylen of Central Square and Clarence Nylen of Fulton.

Maid of hon or was Jennica Vehrs, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Kristin Nylen, sister of the groom, and junior bridesmaids were MaKenna Cealie and Shaylee Cealie, cousins of the bride.

Best man was David Nylen, brother of the groom. Groomsman was Clarence Nylen, father of the groom.

A reception was held in the Grand Ballroom of the DoubleTree Hotel in East Syracuse.

The bride and groom are graduates of G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton and the State University of New York College at Oswego.  The bride is an English teacher at G. Ray Bodley High School and Nylen teaches chemistry at Pulaski High School. They are both in their fourth year of teaching. They honeymooned on back-to-back cruises. The couple makes their home in Fulton.
