Joseph Catalone, Army veteran

Joseph A. “Moe” Catalone, 73; of Fulton died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse. He was born in Oswego to the late Samuel and Ann (Zeno) Catalone.

Mr. Catalone was a United States Veteran having served in the Army as a Paratrooper from 1962 to 1964.

He retired from the Pipe Fitter Local #73. He was also a union member of the Laborer’s Local #214.

Mr. Catalone was a member of the Fulton Elk’s, Oswego VFW Charles C. Crisafulli Post, and Dante Alighieri.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years Judy Catalone of Fulton, three children:  Kristi Catalone of Fulton, Rhonda Pierce of Fulton, and Bruce Pierce Jr., of Hannibal, one brother Francis (Cass) Catalone of Oswego, and one sister Marguerite Calderone of Oswego, three grandchildren:  Tyler, Kitty, Vharie, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were conducted Tuesday at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

Funeral Services will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Stephen Wirkes. Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal.
