Dorothy Dunbar, retired from Birdseye

Dorothy L. Dunbar, 79, of Rochester, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at home. Born in Oswego, she had recently moved to Rochester four months ago.

Mrs. Dunbar and her late husband Leon travelled extensively for 25 years, living in such countries as Morocco, Spain and Taiwan, as well as many states including Maine, Michigan, Washington, Colorado, Texas and Long Island, NY before returning to the Hannibal area in the early 70’s.

She later retired from Birdseye Foods in Fulton.

She is predeceased by her husband, Leon A. Dunbar. Surviving are her son, Tom Dunbar of Rochester; a sister, Gwendolyn Adams of Jacksonville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours and services were held March 19 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
