The CNY Warriors took first place at the Pepsi Invitational Tournament in Buffalo.
The Warriors faced the Rochester Hawks in the championship, topping their opponents in a one-goal thriller.
CNY 2, Rochester 2: In the first period of game one, Logan Shepardson got the scoring started for the Warriors, accepting a behind the net pass from Caleb Clarke.
Rochester scored the equalizer in period two. Mid third period, CNY’s Derek Morgia skated the puck in to net the go ahead goal only for the Hawks to tie the game soon after.
Both teams were shut out of the third period, ending the game in a draw.

CNY 5, London 2: Mid first period, CNY’s Asher Zych scored his 15th goal of the season, Billy Greene and Derek Fitzsimmons assisting. London tied the game early in the second period.
Warrior Hari Nanthakumar gave his team the lead, thanks to a pass from Alec Carrocio before Greene scored off a rebound from Zych. London narrowed the gap with a goal early in the third.
A goal from Zych gave his team a two-goal cushion, Caroccio and Derek Morgia assisting, before Carrocio sealed the win with a shot in the last 44 seconds of play. Zych was named game MVP.
CNY 5, Perinton 2: Greene opened scoring early in the first with his 30th goal of the season for the Warriors, Nanthakumar assisting. Perinton knotted matters to close the period. Mid second period, Greene assisted on a goal from Derek Fitzsimmons to take the lead. Derek Morgia landed a shot soon after, thanks to a passing play between Fitzsimmons and Greene.
