Ruby J. Bucher, 93, of Fair Haven and formerly of Greenbrook, N.J., died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.
Born June 18, 1918 in Walton, N.Y., Mrs. Bucher resided most of her life in Greenbrook before moving to Fair Haven several years ago. She managed a popular retail business in Plainfield, N.J. for 52 years before retiring 25 years ago.
She enjoyed her retirement with involvement in many community projects and spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Bucher; mother, Cecil Kelly; father, Rufus A. Budine; step-father, John B. Kelly; and a sister, Dorothy M. Schultze.
Surviving are her nephews, Bernard (Kimber-Lee) Scott of Fair Haven, Frederick (Maureen) Scott of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Nolan (Julie) Wilcox of Pasco, Wa. as well as many great nieces and nephews.
There were no calling hours. The family will have a private graveside memorial service at a later date. Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal has care of arrangements.
