Geneva L. Kempston, 92, of Fulton, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at her home following a brief illness.
A native of Oswego, she had resided in Fulton most of her life. Mrs. Kempston was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Fulton and a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Pere LeMoyne #833.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert S. Kempston; sons, Richard and Louis Kempston; and brothers, Walter, Vincent and Rev. Philip Lavere.
Surviving are her children, Marcia Kempston, Loretta (Bob) Vayner, Ann (Michael) LaRock, Teresa Kempston, Robert Kempston, George (Dee) Kempston and Walter (Tona) Kempston, all of Fulton, and Mary (John) LeGrand of Daytona Beach, Fla.;
two daughters-in-law, Betty and Gloria Kempston; a sister-in-law, Patricia Lavere; 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton. Burial and committal services followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton. There were no calling hours.
